Nightly face treatment

One good way to use it is as a treatment just before bed. If it’s solid, just take a little and rub it into your hands. As it warms it will become a liquid that can be rubbed onto your face. Allow it to sit for about 30 minutes so that the skin can totally absorb it. Afterwards, gently rinse it off using a moist towel.

Nourishing hand treatment

If you have dry hands, you can use it to nourish them and restore moisture. Warm it up as before and use it like you would a lotion. For an especially deep treatment, place gloves over your hands to help trap the moisture in which will not only moisturize them, it can help fade age spots too.

Natural hair conditioner

Coconut oil is an excellent natural hair conditioner. Melt about a tablespoon of it using your hands, and then apply to throughout your hair, especially on the ends. Don’t rinse yet. Allow it to penetrate your hair for up to two hours – the longer the better. Afterward, jump in the shower and rinse, and then shampoo as you normally would.
